I'm stil ISO my pasta plates, and I don't like porcelain, eathernware, or stonewear. They feel, well, easily breakable.

I like glass ... I even like plastic.

Am I odd? Anyone ?

Yes you are CM.

I don't mind glass but hate plastic be in a cup or plate.

We have Corelle. I'm thinking about switching to clay so I can warm the plates, and they stay warm...

Those ordinary paper plates that you might see people eating from at summer cookouts, those things are flimsily-made, cheap and a disgrace!

Plus they let grease from greasy foods soak through and stain you clothes if you're holding one on your lap!

Foam plates are ok, but they can be cut and when placed in the microwave, they get all deformed and out of shape. Hefty is good, so is Chinet.

But in the house, I use Pyrex Cornelle or melamine dishes.

Anything except paper or plastic unless it's a picnic. They're hard on knife edges but then I can fix those little buggers pronto.
