Has anything changed?

Doc, a while back you said you were going to ease up on the forum settings to make it more visitor friendly. Last night it was stalling/hanging up all over the place on me. Often giving me a page won't load screen. I reset my router and that helped speed things up again, just like I used to have to do here, but this morning when following a link to a previous recipe posted here, I noticed I was not logged in on the new page, as used to be the case.
Soooo, have you changed the setting back again? Has anything changed on your end? This is a problem only experienced here and not on other vb forums.

i had that log in problem when i tried to view a picture on Qsis spotlight.

Yeah, that too. Nothing but red X's showing up like when Doc first changed the way we can upload pics, but before he relaxed the visitor permissions.

Yes the whole forum seems to have slowed down with a complete stop yesterday for me as well.

Yep, we now have an upgraded firewall in place. The router was also serving as a firewall and was the cause for the last 3 or more outages. Now we've moved past that hurdle.
I also wil be switching to a newer server in the not to distand future. There will be an outage but hopefully it will only be an hour or two. More on that later.
maybe this also effected the log in and pictures also.

I believe there was an outage yesterday. I believe the new firewall fixed it.

Outages are often preceded by a slowdown.
