Can I use quinoa as a sub for rice or orzo?

I bought it, liked it, and understand it's healthy to eat. Does anyone know if I can sub the seasonings and add-ins that I'd use for rice or orzo?

According to this it can be a good substitute for white rice though it is really not a rice it is a grain from South America. Look down a the preparation section on this article it will have some ideas.

I've been meaning to try quinoa, too, CM.

Did you go through all the soaking and rinsing, or was it not necessary?

Me, too, Lee. Our old friend Dave Hutchins used it a lot in his restaurants and kept encouraging me to try it, but I never did. So I'm anxious to see if we get some great TNT recipes here so I can take the plunge.
