Is that real? I can't believe birds would come up to a live ground hog.

I have a pair of barn finch that have made a home in the rafters of my back porch. Now I go out there to smoke so they have gotten used to me over the years and the male has actually come with inches of me sitting on my hand rail. I tried to touch him once and got pecked pretty good but he didn't run just started chirping at me with some really foul bird language.

around here i've seen the birds peck the squirl until the squirl drops out of the tree.
