For the breading:

3 pounds of Chicken Wings
1 egg, slightly beaten
¼ cup of Texas Pete Hot Sauce
1 cup of Self-Rising Flour

1 teaspoon garlic powder

¼ teaspoon black pepper

1 cup of vegetable oil for frying

For the Sauce:
3 tablespoons of Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
3 tablespoons water
½ cup white vinegar
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup white sugar
½ teaspoon garlic powder½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground ginger

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a medium bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder and black pepper. Mix well. Set aside.

Mix together the egg and hot sauce.

Heat the oil in a large heavy bottom skillet over medium high heat.

Dip the wings in the hot sauce/egg mixture and then into the flour.

Fry the wings in the hot oil half of them at a time turning to brown all sides.

Place the wings on a FOIL LINED baking sheet. Mix together all of the sauce ingredients. Pour the sauce over the wings.

Bake in a preheated oven for 45 minutes basting every 10 minutes with the sauce.

**Make sure that you line your pan with foil and remove the foil and clean the pan before it cools completely or you will have a real mess.

Is Texas Petes similar to Franks at all, can I use it in place of? Oh and did you use powdered ground ginger or fresh?

Thank you :) :D
