Jeek, yes. I remember. I tried to befriend her, but she said due to personal reasons, she would not accept/add friends, and hoped I would understand.
I did, as I got wacked in Nov.. Not bumped, but warned, and it was childish, so I stayed off for 6 weeks. I'm still pissed.

Now you see crap everywhere. lol, not like that but...you know what I mean! :yum:

I got warned for just about everything that I did. Twice for the recipes that I posted. Even though I read the rules and rewrote the directions because I said based on a recipe of so and so, I got written to twice. I said get the books out of the library and check.

Who wants to go in my hot tub??? You have to run naked through the yard and go barefoot in the snow...but it's worth it when you hit the 101 degree water!

Oh no way!...I tried to point something out to him once and he backpedaled so fast he lost a year in age....but it still got me nowhere. I can see him stomping his feet from here.:pat:
Loved our hot tub in the winter. Sit in it when it was snowing, sipping on a glass of mamosa....ahhhh the memories. :D
Hot tub is broken now dangit. :pat:
VeraBlue
01-26-2009, 06:16 PM
It's no good to have a broken hot tub, Doc...that's like having a 5000 dollar planter in your yard.
I love being in the tub during a very gentle rain, too!
Had a hot tub party once...and the most people in the tub at one time was 18...some completely in, some just sitting on the edges...
Found an unopened bottle of coconut rum at the bottom the next morning:thumb:
You are so right Vera. We had our share of parties when it was working. it's an 8 person 8, but 6 fit comfortably. Costs more to fix it now than I paid for it. When I hit the lotto I'm going to replace it.....I just have to remember to Buy A Ticket, I hear your chances are a little better that way. :pat:

What's wrong with it Doc? I needed a new control for mine. The local hot tub place wanted hundreds for it. I went online and found an online hottub parts place in San Diego. Got it for 79 bucks. A few screws and disconnecting / reconnecting wires and we were good to go.

Exactly my point, Vera
Hmmm, hot tubs... I was at some interesting hot tub parties when I used to jump. Nothing like a hot tub with the stars over your head.
My neighbor hardly ever uses his anymore. I wish I had a good place here to set up a hot tub. I have land, but I really don't have a back yard.... I could probably have his cheap. I guess it was a fad.

Type what you want, then highlight it with your mouse, then click the link box and add the link. It will turn your text into the link.
I worked for awhile in a Miami Swinger's club as a bouncer. They had two hot tubs that 20 people could get in at once. The health department checked every single night before we opened. Very interesting job for a while.

Oops, I deleted that one CH. But thanks for letting me know.
What I said was that I had a post about John Travolta's son dying removed because they were afraid it would start a religious debate due to the fact he and his wife are into Scientology. The Mod that deleted it was very nice about it because she had actually put up a similar thread the day before and was told to remove it. I have to admit that while this is minor, it did ruffle my feathers.

I must have somehow started off on the wrong foot with one of the mods and she assumed the worst of me without getting to know me. I had no desire to create havoc; I just wanted to find a friendly place where I could relax and destress and share recipes and baking tips. I had left a place that was full of flame wars, shenanigans, sockpuppets etc. and I didn't want to deal with that anymore. I tried to be very clear about my purpose.
After the intial arguing back and forth--it grew tiresome. She always had to have the last word and constantly including other people in our private messages. This mod had to criticize me constantly--posts were deleted. I don't want the hassle. I just want to have some fun. I never intended to hurt anyone's feelings or "say the wrong thing" but I do expect to be treated respectfully and I have the right to protect myself from online predators.

Lydia you bring up a great point and example! Rep points for YOU!
Keep in mind that us Mods rarely intervene and 99.999% dont delete ANY posts. We should all be treated like adults AND act like adults. Able to discuss and even debate. If there are mean-spirited personal attacks.... the thread will STILL not be closed (99.999% of the time) or altered. The mods will STRONGLY urge the people that took a debate into an argument.... that they take it to PMs and settle things themselves! If the argument starts affecting the rest of our community peers, their peers (that youts guys ;) ) should also tell them to take their argument into a PM. That very very rarely gets to that point.
Its pretty simple though. We want our community members to be treated with respect, courtesy, have a damn good time, learn and share recipes and be treated like adults!
This is MY take on things. Pretty sure Doc and Sattie and Jim S. feel the same. I HOPE they do
