We got this planter at my mom's funeral. It's huge and really full. It's got alot of greenery and then in the lower left is a violet plant and in the back is a Peace plant. It's all so crowded I'd like to take out the flower plants. Is there a good and fast rule on how/when I should do it? Should I just leave it? They're both still flowering so I'm not sure what to do?? Help, someone!! Here's a couple pics.

I usually repot in the spring and summer, but that's just because that is when I get in the mood to do it. But since houseplants are in a controlled environment (temperature wise), I think you can do it whenever you get ready.
African violets should be watered with a wick from the bottom, so I'd pull that one out and repot it. I'm kind of surprised that they put one in there. You are not going to hurt the peace plant by repotting. They are pretty forgiving. It's a beautiful plant, and I like the mixed greenery look.

I sort of thought the same thing with the African violet. I know they're a touchy plant. That's the one I'm really worried about. I'll try to get the Peace plant repotted soon.
I appreciate your input. I'm clueless when it comes to houseplants.
Thank You!!

You're welcome. I guess I should have added that there are some house plants, like Thanksgiving and Christmas cactus, that need to be repotted at a certain time.
