I've been VeraBlue ever since I started writing porn on another forum. I already had one screen name over there and wanted to get honest reaction to what I was writing...

I know some of you post on other boards. Do you go by another name there? Care to share it here?

You all know I'm just nosy and want to know who's here. :whistling:

I'd love to know...

Well, it is not as good as your porn story. :whistling:I use to love the cartoon Weebl and Bob and even sent my friend who lives in Queens Park, London to take a picture in front of the Square Pie Company to try to win a contest. I think the prize was a sweatshirt. Alas, I lost but I loved the cartoon. It, too, is not for children but I can post it here:
http://www.weebl.jolt.co.uk/pie.htm

There are many episodes besides this one.

I also love to bake and have been baking literally since I was a toddler. My grandfather owned a steakhouse before I was born and one of his brothers was a pastry chef. I inherited the baking gene. I just have a knack for it and I have taught baking, too. I almost went to Pastry School but my folks thought it would be too much hard work and I would never have a chance to play. So, it became my hobby. Ages ago, I catered a few parties as a favor but it has been mostly for fun. I can usually read a recipe and intuitively know if it is right.

On another site, I taught a lot of people how to bake. We had a ship, so everyone needed a name--a rabbi is a teacher and that is the kind of officer I wanted to be.

I chose PieSusan because of the cartoon and because I taught a lot of people on the other site how to bake, answered all their questions, etc and I everyone liked my pie primer and bread primer.

So instead of Pastry or Baking Susan, I chose PieSusan and I played with it. MMMMM PIE!!!!

"If you come back, bring pie!"

I had an uncle that owned a bakery in Long Island which is now his son's. I also have a grand daughter who is a pastry chef working in North Carolina resort right now. My grand mother was also made great cakes and pies with her lemon meringue to die for. Me can't bake much at all and my wife can get buy with a cake mix. I do love fresh baked breads, cakes and pies.

Now, if I tell you that other site, Charlie, you'll go over there and get this impression of me....and you'll have all sorts of questions. Not that I mind questions about my past, because I don't...but I went down that road with a few other folks on what was supposed to be an 'anything goes' discussion board. The results were disheartening, to say the least. I worked in the adult industry for many years, and quite successfully. I did several tv interviews, a couple of radio shows and got to meet some very cool people producing adult events. 9/11 came and the mood to party flew out the window along with most of the disposable income my clients had. I went back to the cooking industry which was always my first love. It was fun while it lasted and I wouldn't change anything for the world. I liked what I was doing.
I'm an aggressive and assertive woman, no excuses and surely no apologies for my nature. I'd also give you the shirt off my back if you needed it without a second thought. The name I worked under is still well known and I'd rather it not follow me into the kitchen if you know what I mean.
I hope you don't think I'm blowing you off....it's just that too many people tend to judge incorrectly what they don't really understand.

I invented my screen name for the first compact tractor board I joined, maybe 4 years ago. Have loved tractors, trucks, buses, trains, diesel engines, construction equipment, ag equipment all my life, but have no need for one and no place for it either, so the Wannabe part was a no brainer. The Green becuase my favorite tractor right now is a green color. I've just kept the screen name for each board I've joined since, and haven't found any dup names yet.

I am usually Barbarian57 (Barbara comes from the word barbarian, and I was born in... well, you should be able to figure that part out!). I decided on Barbara L at one of the other food sites I belong to (Barbarian57 at one) because I didn't want to constantly be asked if I am a man or a woman. I get a lot of emails from people trying to sell me Viagra or offering to find me a sexy woman just because of the name Barbarian! I use something totally unrelated to my name, but sweepstakes oriented, at my sweepstakes site, and at my German Shepherds forum I am Cubbie's Mom.

I first made my identity known to the internet back when TalkCity was going. That was a chat server. I was originally known as "Pepper38". Back then, I was insane about chile peppers, and the "38" was from my hotmail address.

After a few months, I became a volunteer host on the chat server. When I was "in uniform", I went under the handle "TCCHipolte" (yes, that's a misspelling). The "TCC" bit stode for "Talk City Crew". The last couple months that I was active in that server, I got a name-only promotion, and became "CCCHipotle". The "CCC" stode for "City Conference Crew", which was supposed to be a contracted, paid position. But, the end was coming, and the company just couldn't make it financially.

By that time, I had already gotten into my next hobby, Metal Detecting. I had joined several forums under the handle of "AllenOK". If you've read my intro post, you know that my name is Allen, and I live in OK. I moved up to Michigan in 2002. I changed all my handles to "AllenMI", to reflect the move.

I joined DC under "AllenMI". However, one of my friends from TalkCity started a forum for sci-fi fans. I originally registered with my old TalkCity handle, but that particular board allows users to change their display handle. I am currently known as "Chef Pepper" there.

When we moved back to Oklahoma in 2006, I changed all my handles back to "AllenOK", and have been that on all boards except the sci-fi board since.

My mom use to point out attractive women to him and say, "You don't get too many of them to the pound." lol
She was very secure and he loved her very, very much. When he passed four and a half years ago, my mom repeated over and over how she couldn't get over how much he loved her. I would love to find that one day.

It will come when you least expect it nor are looking for it. I went to school with my wife but never noticed her as I was going with the girl next door that I grew up with. Well as things would have it we broke up and I meet my wife not even knowing we had classes together and was married in 2 months. We have been together all these years with 4 kids, 1 deceased, 17 grand kids and 2 great grand kids. Our daughter the youngest child and only girl, died September 13th, 2001 two days after her 31st birthday leaving 3 children behind. Oh my wife and I got married she was 17 and I was 18.

Yeah. Being a suicide just made it harder. Over a woman, of course. That coupled with the fact that his little sister died of crib death back in about 1981, which now leaves my wife with no children, is hard to stand back and watch. However, all I can do is watch. I can't fix it.

Don't worry, Susan, grieving parents can't wrap their minds around it either.

All I can say to this the death of a child is something a parent should never face, nor can I imagine a parent would ever get over the lose of a child. Mine died due to domestic violence though I can't image the cause of a child's death would make much difference under any circumstances. Regardless all that is left is to pick up the pieces and in my case was three kids and move on as best we can. The youngest one is still with us but she is growing up fast.

Yeah. Being a suicide just made it harder. Over a woman, of course. That coupled with the fact that his little sister died of crib death back in about 1981, which now leaves my wife with no children, is hard to stand back and watch. However, all I can do is watch. I can't fix it.
Oh, oh, oh - I am so sorry. It's the sudden deaths like that that terrify me. No warning. No chance to wrap your head around it. No chance to hug them just one more time. I have always been grateful that my daughter's illness wasn't sudden and her death was not a surprise. Hug your wife extra tight tonight because she's been through way too much.

Thank-you Susan. JoeC, you're absolutely right. Fisher's Mom, it was a terrible, sudden shock.

I can barely wrap my mind around that kind of grief. You are so lovely and kind, Susan. I really thought I would never recover but through the years, I've come to realize that we all suffer terrible losses in our lives. There are things I know others have gone through that I don't think I could ever deal with.

Yeah, "Mom", but at the time, what you're going through is the only thing anyone has endured. The world stops for awhile, nothing matters.

We live by a mainline of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway. I found myself thinking that they should stop the trains for awhile so we could have some peace and quiet. Of course, the rest of the world keeps going while you try to recover and catch up again.

Now, to get back to topic: My name being Pie Susan has nothing to do with this:

Although I am for Congress enacting National Pie Week, I do not dive into chocolate pudding pies wearing French Maid costumes. Nope, it would never happen. ;-)

As our membership is growing, I thought perhaps this thread should be bumped up. People don't have to add to it if they do not wish but they can have fun reading what others have posted.

Edited to add: I should have reread the whole thread. Sorry to anyone for bringing up the serious subjects again; I forgot how this thread had turned. I just remembered how fun it was to read about how people chose their online names.

I missed thread entirely first time around. So sorry for everyone's losses. I'd fall apart if I outlived any of my children.

The first forum I was on was Cigar Aficionado magazine's. I was BuzzJetJock. Still am but I go there maybe once a year. Now I use it in an invitation only private group called Cuban Cigar Advocate. About a hundred of us broke off from the magazine site because of all the nonsense.

As to buzzard767, I was conceived at Buzzards Bay, Mass and was born with the nickname Buzz but have been called Buzzard forever. The 767 was the last plane I flew before retirement.

Hey buzz, so was I. Go figure. I was Igator there. I haven't been there in years. Of all the crap that was happening there. There was something going on with the Alex guy and RyJ7x47 or something like that? Is it right? I think Ive regestered at the Cuban Advocate forum too, but I don't know if I ever posted there, I'm sure not. That was years ago. Can't remember.

Wow. Your memory is good Charlie. RyJ is a self centered attorney in the SF Bay area and Alex (from Miami) was the consummate trouble maker. I've smoked a few cigars with Alex but that was about five years ago. Neither are members of the private forum, and couldn't be. Even if someone invited them the rest of us would have to approve it and that is NOT gonna happen.

Well, I'm Angie here, born Angela Jo...but on other forums I'm gigishiba. Gigi is the name I have from my nephew (now 14..gulp) who couldn't say Angie. So, I'm Aunt Gigi to him and his two sisters. They get scolded if they even THINK about calling me Angie! Shiba is what my dogs are (my avitar)...Shiba Inus. Kika (female, 11 next month) is laying on the left and Kenzo (male, 9) is on the right. Kenzo is a honkin' huge Shiba...way too big for breed standard.

Vera...my best friend from grade school through high school is a porn star...I haven't talked to her since 1990, before she started her career. I guess she's pretty famous too!!!
